Officers
DSA officers are those involved in running the organization. We organize scholarships, master classes, performances, and other programs that fulfill our mission. Our officers can be reached at uwdance.sa@gmail.com.
DSA officers are selected on a yearly basis. To get involved with DSA, send us an email and we will send an electronic application. All UW students are eligible to apply.
Katie Daugherty, President
Katie Daugherty is a Seattle-based dancer, choreographer, and collaborator who is currently in her third year at the University of Washington majoring in dance and sociology. She is the president of the UW Dance Student Association and is currently the Director’s Assistant for Chamber Dance Company. Katie has performed in the Seattle International Dance Festival, University of Washington’s Dance Faculty Concert​s​ and MFA Dance Concert​s​. Work she has made has been performed at the National High School Dance Festival in Pittsburgh, PA and the 2018 Dance Majors Concert. Katie has worked with artists such as​ Jennifer Salk, Rachael Lincoln, Juliet McMains, and Robin Jaecklein.

Charlotte was born on nearby Vashon Island and grew up in a community that celebrates the arts. With this support she was able to spend her childhood dancing, playing music, and making art. She's been so delighted to be able to continue dancing in UW's unique program and to be a part of DSA. Along with her dance major she is pursuing an English literature major. She will (hopefully) be graduating in 2019 and hopes that regardless of where life takes her, dance will always be around.
